Our Journey
SocialStay was created by a traveler and tech professional who knows the best hostel experiences come from great social connections. While traveling, I often found myself organizing my own groups through WhatsApp or Instagram just to find people to explore with. The hostels were full of amazing people—but if I didn’t happen to meet them in the common areas, I might never connect with them. It wasn’t that hostels lacked great activities—it was that guests simply didn’t know what was happening or who else was interested.
That’s why SocialStay was created—to bridge this gap and make hostels more social, one stay at a time. Designed to help hostels foster connections, boost event participation, and increase tour sales, SocialStay makes life easier for both guests and hostel staff. From bustling cities to remote backpacker havens, conversations with hostel owners and travelers shaped the vision for a platform that creates unforgettable stays.
